BUGATTI TOURBILLON: CELEBRATING A NEW ERA AT THE BIRTHPLACE OF THE BRAND
Bugatti’s historic Molsheim headquarters recently witnessed a momentous event – the launch of the Bugatti Tourbillon, a symbol of a new era born from the partnership between Bugatti and Rimac. This milestone not only introduced the first car under this collaboration but also marked a significant reunion at Molsheim since the 110-year celebrations in 2019.
The festivities, held from June 18 to 22, were a tribute to Bugatti’s illustrious heritage and the visionaries who shaped its legacy. Over 300 esteemed guests gathered for the exclusive ‘La Grande Première’ on June 20, amidst a backdrop adorned with iconic Bugatti models like the Type 57SC Atalante, Type 35, and the legendary Type 41 Royale. These classics, displayed like treasures across the Bugatti premises, embody the essence of beauty, performance, and luxury that inspired the Tourbillon.
The event showcased Bugatti’s journey over the past two decades, from the groundbreaking Veyron to the iconic Chiron, culminating in the unveiling of the Tourbillon. This hyper sports car represents a fusion of timeless craftsmanship and cutting-edge technology, featuring an all-new chassis, a performance-honed body, and an electrified V16 engine – setting new standards in automotive excellence.
The highlight of the evening was the dramatic reveal of the Tourbillon, driven by Bugatti Pilote Officiel Andy Wallace, accompanied by Bugatti Rimac CEO Mate Rimac. This unveiling, broadcast globally, underscored Bugatti’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of automotive innovation.
Frank Heyl, Bugatti’s Director of Design, illuminated the Tourbillon’s meticulous design process and groundbreaking innovations, emphasizing its visionary impact on the future of hyper sports cars.
Throughout the festivities, guests indulged in Bugatti Lifestyle creations and enjoyed Bugatti Carbon Champagne, highlighting the brand’s dedication to luxury and innovation. The event also featured unique experiences like live-sketching sessions and a fine dining experience, culminating in a memorable World Premiere attended by owners, enthusiasts, and Bugatti colleagues.
