Kia has taken the wraps off... well, kind of, on its first-ever pickup truck, the Tasman. But instead of a traditional reveal, Kia opted for a unique artistic approach, showcasing the Tasman in a specially designed camouflage wrap.
Australia-Inspired Design
This one-of-a-kind camouflage isn't just random splotches of paint. Developed in collaboration with renowned Australian-New Zealand artist Richard Boyd-Dunlop, the wrap embodies the spirit of adventure Kia promises with the kia Tasman. Titled "The Path Never Taken," the design features stunning visuals inspired by Australia's diverse landscapes, from the rugged coastlines to the vast outback.
A Journey in Every Detail
Boyd-Dunlop, known for his bold and captivating artwork, drew inspiration from his own experiences hitchhiking across Australia in the backs of pickup trucks. The Tasman's camouflage reflects a journey of discovery, with fiery outback hues blending seamlessly with deep blues reminiscent of Australia's iconic surf culture.
More Than Just a Work Truck
Scheduled for a 2025 debut, the Tasman marks Kia's entry into the mid-size pickup truck segment. The global launch plan includes key markets like Korea, Australia, Africa, and the Middle East. Designed to be both reliable and versatile, the Tasman promises to be a capable workhorse while seamlessly transitioning to adventurous leisure activities.
