Step 1: Don't Report it Lost (Anymore)

Gone are the days of registering a lost licence with the police. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) now handles all licence replacements directly.

Step 2: Head to an RTA Service Center

Visit any Customer Happiness Centre operated by the RTA. These centres are conveniently located in Deira and Al Barsha.

Step 3: Gather Your Documents

Be prepared to present the following documents:

• Original Emirates ID: This is your primary identification document in Dubai.
• Original Passport: While not always required, having your passport as additional identification is helpful.
• Proof of Residency Visa: This verifies your residency status in Dubai.
• Payment Method: The replacement fee is typically AED 300 (subject to change). You can pay with a credit card, debit card, or Nol card (Dubai's public transport fare card).

Step 4: Apply and Pay
