Prototypes of the Mercedes-AMG PureSpeed Enter Final Testing Phase
Mercedes-AMG is gearing up for the final phase of development of the highly anticipated and exclusive PureSpeed sports car. This groundbreaking model, which first made waves as a concept vehicle at its world premiere in Monaco in May 2024, is now in the final stages of its journey toward production. As a limited-run model, the Mercedes-AMG PureSpeed is undergoing rigorous test drives across various terrains, starting in northern Italy and moving south to the high-speed test track in Nardò, covering more than 3,000 kilometers in the process.
Testing the Limits: Real-World Road Conditions

This innovative element is derived directly from motorsport and is designed to protect occupants in the event of an accident. Similar to the systems used in Formula 1™, the HALO in the Mercedes-AMG PureSpeed consists of a curved bar affixed to the vehicle body, providing both safety and aerodynamic efficiency. Two specially designed helmets, optimized for aerodynamics, offer additional protection for the driver and passenger.
