Toyota has unveiled its latest brand film, "Getaway Driver," as part of a national advertising campaign supporting the 2024 Corolla Hybrid. This engaging short film showcases the Corolla Hybrid Nightshade Edition, known for its sporty exterior, 18-inch bronze-finished wheels, and blacked-out accents. Designed to captivate Gen Z and Millennial consumers, "Getaway Driver" combines humor and the psycho-horror genre to highlight the vehicle's features.
A Film for a New Generation
In collaboration with SiriusXM®, "Getaway Driver" stars comic-actor King Bach, an internet personality with a massive following on Instagram and TikTok. This project marks Bach’s debut in television commercial advertising. The film will premiere on the Toyota YouTube channel on June 25th at 4:00 p.m. CT. During the premiere, Bach will engage with viewers and fans through a live chat, adding an interactive element to the experience.

"Getaway Driver" opens with a frantic Bach fleeing from a chainsaw-wielding killer in a dark, rural setting. He calls a friend for help, who arrives just in time in a Corolla Hybrid Nightshade AWD. As they speed away, the friend humorously highlights the features of the 138 hp, all-wheel drive Corolla Hybrid, navigating winding country roads with ease. Meanwhile, another group of friends attempts to catch up in a Corolla Cross Hybrid Nightshade.
